World Leprosy Day - 31 January

Leprosy is a chronic infectious disease caused by Mycobacterium leprae. The disease mainly affects the skin, the peripheral nerves, mucosa of the upper respiratory tract and also the eyes, apart from some other structures.

Dr Nichola Warren
CEU Contributior: Dentistry

Dr Nichola Warren completed her BChD at the University of Pretoria in 2003. In 2004 she worked as a Community Service dentist in Ligtenberg in the North West Province. Dr Warren worked in Private Dental Practice in Pretoria from January 2005 till the end of February 2008. From 2006 to February 2008 she did part time session work for the University of Pretoria in the Department of Odontology. In March 2008 she accepted a full time position at the University of Pretoria as lecturer and Principal Dentist in the Department of Odontology. In that same year she completed her Postgraduate Diploma in Odontology, Endodontics at the University of Pretoria.

She is currently the Acting Head of the Division of Endodontics and is doing research for the purposes of her MSc (Odont).

We would like to take this opportunity to welcome Dr. Nichola Warren to our Editorial Board and thank her for her contribution to eCPD.
