CEU Editor Focus

Mrs Cindy Chin
CEU Contributor: Dietetics

Cindy obtained her BSc Honours in Dietetics in 1998 from the University of Cape Town. She began her career in the food industry specialising in product-related infant nutrition and consumer services related to adult health. She then joined a renowned dietetic practice based in Johannesburg and successfully started their Cape Town branch where she practised for four years. Cindy was privileged to spend time in the United Kingdom specialising in cardiovascular and diabetes community dietetics, and assisted with student training. Since her return, Cindy has successfully run her own practice and continues to consult to the media and the community. She has a special interest in weight management and chronic diseases of lifestyle and she has a passion for equipping her patients with skills for lifestyle change through quality nutrition education. She is currently in part-time private practice while raising her children.

In her spare time, Cindy like to indulge in a good book and read classics like Jane Austen, Charles Dickens and period novels. Cindy also enjoy gardening and being creative in the kitchen.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank Mrs Cindy Chin for her CEU contribution to eCPD.
